Authentic Southern Italian cuisine. Same location since 1998. We changed names in June 2006 from Salvatore's Trattoria to Amafli Ristorante. Chef Anna Avino has been preparing our menu since originally opening in Feburary 1998. Her passion for Italian cooking and cuisine is evident in her homemade sauces and pastas.

Eat here...Got it? – Place looks like a total dump on the outside and not real nice inside either...But the food is very good...
Mama's in the kitchen and she's the best – AWESOME!!! Recently remodeled to remind you of a real Italian restaurant. The food is to die for, as well as, the after dinner martini's. Get there early on the weekends or be prepared to wait. Parking is limited. Be ready for a taste of Italy that you can not get anywhere else in this country.
Salvatore's is NASTY – I have been to this restaurant many times and had a wonderful experience. The last visit was not so wonderful. Salvatore himself showed us to our table (it was early; they were not crowded) and insisted we sit in chairs facing the wall! I said I would like to sit in the other chair looking out on the room, and he blew up. My husband said "I suppose you don't care if we stay or leave", and Salvatore said "I don't care". We left...and will never be back!
Worth the drive! – I was curious about this restaurant after reading the reviews posted here. I invited a group of friends with us. It was about a 45 minutue drive for us. Decided to arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant opened. It's one of those type restaurants that you would drive by a million times and not think twice about stopping to try. We had great service & the quality Italian food exceeded my expectations! From the to die-for Calamari to the Tiramsu desert, it was outstanding. Yes, even though it was raining ou... read more
The Best – I've read the reviews of others and can't believe it! Each and every time I go to Salvatore's, I'm treated like family. So you might have to wait, big deal, get over yourself, it's obviously busy for a reason - it's worth it! What about those big name restaurants that don't take reservations, do you cry when you're minutes away and call ahead to see what the wait is and when you arrive it's different? Geez! I've always received great service, from the very first time I dined here 4 years ago. The food is excellent... read more
Is good food enough to override horrible service? – If you think Salvatore's is the only place serving good italian food, then I'm sure you will overlook the horrible service here. There was not one employee at this establishment who could be described as friendly and/or courteous. I KNOW there are other italian restaurants as good or better who know how to treat their customers. I will spend my money at these other restaurants and I suggest you do the same.
Awesome - and busy because of it! – The food here is great - period. True, home cooked Italian. Those who complain about the attitude have obviously never eaten in Italy (or Boston, for that matter!) The place is BUSY, folks - you can't always get a table, and they can't always suffer your whims, but man, do they make up for it with the food! The best gnocchi I have had, great sausage, superb home made sauces, in a very authentic small town Italian setting (read loud, crowded, a little dusty, but friendly!) A real neighborho... read more
The one restaurant in Roswell where Tony Soprano would feel right at home. – The Scene No yellow-sponged walls, no imported tile, no picturesque, faux-crumbling murals: This is what a Southern Italian neighborhood eatery should look like. A partition divides the smokers at the bar from families and first-daters in the simple dining room. Word is out on this place, and devoted regulars keep it frequently packed. Servers treat you like long-lost family. The Food Cooked with integrity and soulfulness, the food is no pallid Ital... read more
The Best – Moving down to GA from NYC I was faced with quite a challenge. Finding good Italian food. It took me two years to find a place that the sauce wasnt made from a can. The search is over, I have finally found the place that I can call home. Hands down the best Italian food in all of GA so stay away from all those so called Italian chain restaurants and "fugget" about it. Salvatore is Italian.
