My wife and I love to dine at this place, the owners Sydney and her husband are very warm and friendly, along with their servers. We always make our reservations at the same table near the window overlooking the river. The food is absolutely the best. This is a 5 star restaurant in our opinion if your looking for great service and a nice calm and romantic place to dine.
Beef stroganoff was exceptional! The owner was very delightful. Service was great and timely, very friendly. Ambiance is out of this world! Amazing view as well. Came with a group of 5, every one was impressed with their meal and stuffed. Great place for a special evening out!

Amazing. Get the goat cheese appetizer. Then anything else. Mastery of culinary art. Plus a unparalleled nostalgic and special environment you cannot find anywhere else in portland. Truly special.
I did not eat at Amadeus just a chance drop in after a stroll by Elk Rock Island. Walked up to find out hours and maybe see a menu. What I got was mind blowing. Met the owner and received a full tour down to the kitchen and chef. This place is James Bond dates the hot librarian. The history of this place is epic, built by lumber baron.
