restaurant Amadeus Manor used to be Fernwood Inn. The restaurant is in an old chateau style home with beautiful woods and stone interior. The view of the river is wonderful. A little on the pricey side but the food is fantastic. Just meandering around the Manor is worth it.
gorgeous house Amadeus is situated in a beautiful old house in Milwaukie that is fun to meander around. Lots of little nooks and crannies that make for a cozy or intimate meal. While everyone in our group enjoyed the setting immensely, we were disappointed in the greasy food. And we could hear a woman berating someone in the kitchen even though we were not close to the kitchen. When we asked, our waitress told us it was the owner and that she has a short fuse with the help.
We made reservations on open table for a special birthday brunch only to arrive and find the restaurant not open 😓
We arrived last night with a reservation but found only 'No trespassing' signs and darkness. What's going on?
An absolutely wonderful Sunday brunch was had by the two of us. What a charming place! The food was out of this world/world class. We can't wait to visit again and again for brunch or maybe dinner! We are amazed that the place isn't more popular. We will do our best to rectify that. How very nice meeting the owner too. :)
This restaurant is a gem in the heart of Milwaukie with so much history to share! Great food and incredible atmosphere with river views. Highly recommend!
Our family (and many others) would love to dine here, if only they would add a few vegetarian and lighter dishes. In 2017 Portland, most families have a vegetarian or two among them. With so many classic restaurants offering delicious veg options, why go somewhere where you have to settle for bread and a side salad?
