World Class Steaks What a great place to have a great steak. Always cooked the way you want them and substitutions are welcomed. The food and the service are absolutely outstanding.

BEST STEAKHOUSE AND DRINKS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My wife and I ate here last week and let me say this....this was among the best steakhouse we've ever been to. The steaks are Prime quality and our meals came with choice of potato, soup/salad, the best tasting pumpernikel bread served with honey butter, and veggies of the day. Al's Char House Probably the best steak in the area in a western-motif, upscale/casual restaurant. Higher than I'd like to pay, but competitive with other restaurants. The homebaked bread is a nice treat. Service is attentive. First-time visitors note: the restaurant is in the lower level.
First thing first. This restaurant doesn't have wheelchair accessible for their guest. This restaurant is located on the lower level of another restaurant which they share together. They don't have an elevator that their guest can take to access this area. So you are forced to take a flight of stairs. I was offered a table in the area of the other restaurant in which shares this space with Al's charhouse. But even then I was added to a wait list with no accuracy on a quote time. Al's Char-House is great for steak. I tried the 48oz. Porter house steak and it was great. Me and my wife went there for our three year anniversary, but she said the drinks were watered-down.
My family was there this past weekend and it was the worst dining experience ever. We waited for over an hour. I am not complaining about that. It was a Saturday evening and we chose to stay after they told us the wait was an hour. So this review is not based on the wait for the table at all. However, waiting an hour and a half for our food to come is completely unacceptable! We complained to a manager and all we received back was a nod and a smile. Al's is the best! I have been going to Al's for years, though I don't get to go too often. They have the best steaks and GREAT portions for the price. I always have to take home a "doggy bag" because I can never finish my meal!Service has ALWAYS been the best.I would suggest this place to ANYONE that loves beef or steak for reasonable prices.Price of drinks is comparable to most places
