If I could give 0 stars I would. Dr. Miah (this was years ago yet I’m still on my journey) was absolutely awful. I was in a great place and had to follow protocols she accused me of something false and I know it was their end I saw it happen. It costed me money, I felt gaslit (and I hate that term but that’s what she did). And when I went to my mom’s after crying her friend was over and knew who she was she saw her son she said she’s awful. The front desk was rude in transferring my paperwork. I've been coming to the office since office since the beginning of 2021. I am getting the care that I need approved by the Durham VA. My clinician and therapist Dr. M Wright has good experience with Veterans. I don't want to go anywhere else. The front desk has always been reliable and attentive. Libby is great and I forget the other lady's name but she also very helpful and kind hearted like Libby. I highly recommend care based off of my personal and lengthy experience.
I saw Dr. Upadhya years ago and let me say that this woman ruined my life. Misdiagnosed me and put me on antidepressants which made me suicidal. Ended up dropping out of college to go to rehab and still haven’t recovered twelve years later. From some of the reviews I read, looks like she is still cashing checks and dolling out antidepressants as if it is one size fits all. Also was incredibly rude and uncaring. I have been a patient of Alpha Psychiatric Associates since I moved to North Carolina in 2022. I had a few challenges getting a response from staff about scheduling Psych testing in the beginning but I overlooked them once I was working with Dr Wright. She is a wonderfully compassionate lady, who is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. I received my diagnosis and was referred to Ms Ada Nwankudu, who has been a breath of fresh air!
