I usually don’t write reviews but I’m tired of doctors not advocating for, especially, younger women. I went to a referral almost a year ago to Alma Makul for iron deficiency. She basically told me nothing could be done because my hemoglobin was fine, even though I have a raised rbc and consistently low ferritin at 4 for years! Unprofessional, unpredictable mood, zero bedside manner and made me so uncomfortable I switched providers after my visit. Stormed out of the room with her hands up shouting “I’m done, I’m done” down the hall and I had to apologize to her staff out of embarrassment for her outburst and causing a scene. I’ve never had a provider treat me, the patient, with such an abrasive attitude. Called insurance to let them know that her billing time was used to yell at me without addressing my treatment.
