Recommendedmy daughter was transferred here from a hospital in my area for pain in her stomach and possible appendicitis. it was confirmed to be that and today she had it removed and is now at home. The doctors, nurses, and surgeons were amazing everybody was kind and they understood her with her pain and were gentle with her. I'm so thankful to this hospital for taking care of my daughter so well.

The staff here at John's Hopkins treated my son with such compassion. They were not only patient with him but patient with me- MOM! You know how us Moms can get sometimes with 100 questions an hour- they never ounce got annoyed with me and if they did then kudos for not showing it. To allow a child to be in pain from a very debilitating illness is heartless and inhumane. Every patient deserves an advocate when they fend for themselves. I have a friend who is having to watch his sister not be treated properly. He along with his sister have sickle cell. The sister has been hospitalized for a few months. After speaking to him in detail his sister is being treated as a drug seeking I’m sad that another person with sickle cell disease has to not only fight her crisis but the hospital lack of care.
