While on a weekend vacation (labor day) in St Pete my 2 yr old daughter got hives. Not being close to home we decided to visit the ER. It was early Labor Day Morning so we were attended to and checked in quickly. The nurse checked her out gave her Benadryl and we waited a few minutes for the Doctor to visit her. He came in confirmed it was hives and left the room (he was there for about 4 minutes, didn't even touch the baby). We gladly paid our deductable of $265.00 and left happy it was something so simple. Yesterday my son had tubes in his ears. I know this isn't considered a big scary surgery, but for a 3 year old strange places can be unnerving. He loved the toys in the waiting area. Was excited to get a "super hero bracelet" from the admission staff. Samantha (nurse) who gave him "spider man" socks and "a cool dog shirt" was amazing. Dr. Patel (anesthesiologist) who got him excited for "bubble gum air" was top notch!
