Apartment hunting in Sherman Oaks? Good call. Our 105 apartments at the gateway to Bel Air (yes, as in 'Fresh Prince Of') are refreshingly walkable and bikable. And there's much to walk and bike to: Whole Foods across the street, Blue Dog Tavern (you must try the Scrimshaw Pilsner) a few blocks away and the vibrancy of Ventura Boulevard just a hop and a skip. Terrible living experience Do not I repeat do not move into this apartment building… this has been a terrible experience I only lived here 1 year and that’s enough for me. The building is from the 80s and needs a complete renovation. Constant issues Beware of this property. There are constant issues like the water heater being broken so you have no hot water. More than a week of not having hot water this year. In a supposedly high-end building. Elevators are constantly breaking down. Any rain leads to flooding and people having to move out. The building doesn’t care, and will continue to raise rents. Cars being broken into and packages stolen because they have no security. Moving in here is taking the risk that you’ll likely have to move again in a year ... read more

The Alister is like a Disneyland you live in Living at the Alister is a dream come true. I wake up every morning with a smile on my face hitting the gym and making a protein shake. The showers are nice and warm the building and everything is nice and sturdy. I can do everything in peace. I just installed apple home with no issues and have lived here for 1 year and had no issue it's the best especially for a mother of 2 girls and 2 boys the boys love running around so I find the pool the perfect place to dive into fun my girl... read more

It's a building site I would not recommend living here, unless you are looking to live on a noisy building site. I have had to deal with the following in a "renovated" apartment: Washer/dryer fall out of the closet and spilled water everywhere Bare wiring in kitchen Missing light fitting Knife gash in wooden floor Missing parts from stove Windows won't open Dust and noise Construction guys at 7am every day outside my apartment having loud conversations AC compressor above my unit emitting loud hum/vibration throughout the da... read more
