Set in a mountain valley between the Blue Ridge and the Black Mountains is a homey little inn known as Albert's Lodge. Seeing similarities to his home country, Albert decided to open the lodge in 1981 to adventurists and sightseers alike. It's now run by Van and Debbie, but the charm and comfort remains. Totally awesome place. You cannot beat this view. Roaring Fork Falls is a short walk. There’s an excellent Bavarian restaurant next door. The innkeeper is super friendly and helpful.
