A Real Drag of a Business – This was by far the dirtiest salon I have ever been to. Whoever owns the business has really let the space go down hill. I moved to Florida and returned to Alante after 3 years away. I used to think this was the coolest little salon in austin. It has lost its charm, and I got a mediocre haircut by a guy named Donnie who didn't seem to care whether I was there or not. It is sad when you come back to a place that you loved only to find it stripped of all its charm.
Meh – I got my haircut by Cat a few months ago and while she gave me a pretty basic looking cut (not one of the best I've had), I loved the price. I planned on this place being the salon I'd go to when I just needed a trim but not for a new trendy cut. I recently went back to get my bangs trimmed for free (a guarantee from Cat) and was disappointed to find out that she left. I got my bangs trimmed by the owner instead. austin79 – I was very disappointed with the results and I did give it another try only to feel more disappointed. I got a very bad haircut & was a simple cut. My stylist was not friendly. I think all the great reviews were written by the owner himself or his friends and family.
Best Stylist I have ever had – I was new to Alante salon, and have had my hair hilighted at Jackson Ruis, Avante, and Brad's. I picked a salon on the drag thinking it was an Aveda concept salon. It was not what I was expecting, but in a good way. I was charmed into a highlighting service from Jimmy, even though he did not use Aveda. WOW!!! Unbelievable! Jimmy is the best colorist in Austin. – I went to Alante after having several stylists at other salons give me unsatisfactory results. Jimmy listened to my request, and made me look amazing. It was exactly what I asked for, and Jimmy made sure I was comfortable avery step of the way. He and Christy (the other stylist) bare a match made in heaven. I will be coming here again. The salon had a very good vibe. I would reccommend them to any of my friends.
Best Haircut I have ever had – I love the convenient location of Alante, and have been coming there for 2 years. Jimmy was a new stylist I had never had, and I was apprehensive at first. He honestly gave me the best haircut I have had anywhere in Austin. He will without a doubt be a great addition to the staff.
CaT iS THE 1... – Lets start out with that if you are ever scared to get your hair cut any where by any one there is no fear if you go to CAT! She is good at what she does. I have followed her every where she has worked at. I have been getting my hair done by her for years and i have referred so many people to her. She takes her time to listen to what you want and will explain the pros and cons of the hair cut. On top of her hair cuting skills she has a awsome personalilty! I highly recommend Cat!
Cat (the best) – I was devastated when I got a hair cut from someone at _____ she completely ruined my long healthy hair. Someone told me about Cat that she is the best so I thought I would go see. She completely knew what they?d done and how to fix it. I am so glad I found her and will never go anywhere else. THANK YOU!!!!
Cat was amazing – I brought in pictures of the haircut I wanted and she was able to cut it to fit me. The highlights look really great and she listened to me when I explained my request for "low maintenance". Not only that, but she recommended hair products and it was not a sales pitch. I love my hair ... thank you, Cat :-)
