Citysearch has this place at 4 1/2 stars?? One of the worst restaurants I have EVER eaten at. – I hardly can understand why this place is still in business, the food is not good at all and the beer is barely better. I've even given this place a few tries, because the first time could have been a fluke...I had falafel, dry, weird texture, maybe the kitchen was having an off night. No. I tried again, got a hamburger. It was edible but that was about it. If you want good food and beer there are so many great places in Portland ... read more

Average food, average beer, poor service – The only reason people are waiting for tables at this establishment is that the only other two restaurants on Freemont worth eating at are not child friendly. Wildly uneven food, very average beer, and a staff that thinks that because they work at the ABH, they really don't need to pay attention to their customers, makes for a disapointing experience. Don't hesitate to send back the french fries, which are more often than not on the down side of the freshness curve. Frozen, by the w... read more

wannabe funk creates pain in the trunk – From the blank stares and sullen silence of the wait staff to the harsh faux-industrial corrugated-metal and cinder-block decor, this place is far from welcoming or comfortable. Hey folks, if you reclaim an ugly, utilitarian building from its industrial purpose and turn it into a pub, it's known as 'funky.' However, if you build ugly from scratch, on purpose, miles from any industrial district, you're known as 'stupid.' Also can we get a witness on the seemingly Guantanamo-inspired wo... read more

Best Rootbeer, poor service. – On one of the few times we've eaten at the brewhouse was especially memorable, there was a booth open, but the waiter didn't want to let us have it, but we got it anyway, then he told us that was the end of the good service, and we would have bad service from then on. Boy was he right! I ordered a burger, it was over cooked, and dry, I finally got another gal to get me some mayo, as he never dropped by our table after dropping off our food to check on us. The fries used to be so good, but now t... read more

Beer is good, food is bad – I live nearby this restaurant, but I have only visited it a few times. The first time I went, right after it opened, I had high hopes. The beer was tasty enough, but the food I ordered was ok at best. On my next trip, same experience. I thought'd I'd give the place one more try because the beer is nice enough and the atmosphere fine. I ordered a turkey sandwich with cranberry spread thinking there wasn't much the kitchen could do to make that taste too bad. I was wrong. The bread was dry as was th... read more

This hospitable brewery on an up-and-coming stretch of NE Fremont holds its own as a restaurant too. – In Short The pub has a spacious, refectory feel, with long tables, artistic booths and a simple stretch of bar, all made of blond wood. Behind the bar, big metal brewing vats are on display. Pleasant outside tables look across Fremont Street to a residential neighborhood. The beers span a range of styles. A long wine list and basic cocktails round out the libations. Lunches and dinners feature fresh, tasty standards like sa... read more

Give the onion rings a miss – This place is a good place for pub grub. Pass on the onion rings, though - they're greasy and flavorless.

A Complete Debacle – Worst evening out ever! My friend had to send her filet back 3 times and eat her cold potatoes and vegetables with a butter knife. Then the manager had the gall to ask her to pay for "half of the meal, because she ate half." We had to argue with him about what a crappy meal we had. What a joke! Not going there again--EVER! Have been there before and loved it, but after such poor customer service... SAD.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! – If you're looking for a micro brewer, look no further, especially if you are thinking about Laurelwood (PASS). They have the best burgers and beer. they are kid friendly and fun! Outside service may be slower but still worth it.
