Their scheduling department creates one fiasco after another. Even my doctor's office was aware of their horrible reputation. I had to find out the hard way. They refused my scheduled appointment when I arrived, saying it wasn't in the system, and simply would not let me have my prescribed tests done even though I had traveled quite far to get there. Terrible Corporation which is driven by greed and no sense of loaylatyy or care for it´s customers. Must watch out on their billing as they do overbill you if you are not carefull , they will send the same bill 3 times to be paid in different intervals of time. Last tine I will ever go to this place where employees are talking while at duty not caring about attending waiting customers. Shame on you Akumin in Wellington FL. the Mananger is good for nothing!!!!

Beware of this place!!! With a referral from my primary care physician I tried to schedule an appointment at 2999 NE 191 ST, Aventura. I was told that that location did not have a technician to perform the CT scan. Therefore we scheduled an appointment for 03/30/2021 at 10:15 AM at 400 Arthur Godfrey Road, Miami Beach. This place SUCKS. First, they told me that the office near my home doesn’t do the procedure that I needed, mind you, my wife just did the same procedure, that was requested by the same Dr a few months ago. So I made the appt at another location. Then I get a call saying that they received my orders from the Dr and was calling to schedule my appt. I made an appointment for a mammogram and gave all my insurance info, doctors info. With my plan I don't need a script and can have an annual mammogram and can go afterwards to doctor with results to have annual wellness in one visit. On the day my mammogram was scheduled and walked in 15 min ahead of appointment, I was told I needed a script from my doctor as my insurance requires that. MADE APPOINTMENT WITH AKUMIN as i had to have a mri and mammogram and a bone scan so i wanted to make them together as i do not drive they told me 1 pm and 1.30 pm so i was there by 12.40 am,waited 20 min to be called up to sign in,as they were having a personal conversation the people behind the counter, it was then past my appointment,then at 1.00 pm the, about 20 minutes later they called me in for mri a 10 minute test, no one came out of that area so i think the desk staff did not say i was there i did all paperwork 2 ... read more

This place changes its name more times than some people change their underwear. My wife has been going here for many many years and things have gotten progressively worse. Her appt was scheduled for 4:45pm for a mammogram and ultrasound. She arrived at 4:30pm and did not leave until 7:15pm. This is utterly ridiculous. The last time she was there for the same thing she had to wait over 2 hours. My daughter goes to DCA (Diag Centers of America) and is in and out in 30-45 minutes. Akumin schedulers are totally incompetent. I spoke with 5 different people giving them my insurance information and explaining that they needed to get authorization before my MRI. Each time they had the wrong information in the computer and said they were correcting it. Every time I checked before my appointments, the erroneous information was still in the system without any notes of my previous calls. I finally gave up and took my business elsewhere.

Stay away from these crooks. They gave me a price up front for my MRI and after paying that price in full at the time of service, they sent me a bill for 250% more and blamed it on my insurance.
