I have been here more times than I can count, and each time it gets better. Know one wants to be there, as that means you have a sick child. However I am blessed to be able to bring my kids up here.
Absolutely the best care possible. Surgeon (Dr. Ponzy) & pulmonary specialist (Dr. Joshi) along with all the nurses, support care, & volunteers were so helpful & caring in their help for my son. I can't say enough great things!
I love Akron children's hospital of boardman. My son was born at 29 weeks 2 days. They were all amazing. He was in in the NICU at st Elizabeth's then transferred to beeghly later on. They all loved him had their own nicknames for him. He was in the NICU for 2 months and 1day. He spent a month at home now he is at Akron main with a collapsed lung. Akron children's does a phenomenal job no matter the location.
Our 4 week old Nevaeh was brought to emergency by ems. She was not breathing and her heart stopped on the way. So many people where there to take care of her.( she was born 2 months early at 3 lbs). She was on life support. The picu nurses were also great and very caring. Neveah was finally able to be taken of life support. Still in feeding tube, but on her way to recovery. She was moved from picu yesterday and in a regular room. ( she has meningitis and strep b.) Thank you to the amazing people taking care of her. �
We arrived there and within 2 minutes they went to work on him I love them the experience was great now on to recovery!! I wouldn't ask for a better hospital to treat my kids !!!
This was our first trip the Akrons Children's hospital. I was very nervous! Everyone was excellent and did an amazing job.
