Today we visited Akatsuka Orchid Gardens and were surprised to hear there is no charge to visit and take a look around at all the beautiful orchids and other plants. They are now a learning centre with no charge to visitors. The staff were all very friendly and happy to stop and answer any questions we had, the information available on display was very informative and simply written for easy understanding. The tour is excellent and I learned a lot about orchids that I never knew before. The variety of orchids in the game is just by amazing and their scents are just incredible. It’s a must tour if you are in the area. Pay special attentions to their cattleyas
When our tour bus pulled into the parking lot, I thought “Why are we here?” From the outside it looked like a big warehouse, nondescript with a simple sign outside. Was I ever wrong about “first impressions!” From the moment I walked in, my sense of smell was reeling with the aromas! Truly awe-struck! The variety of orchids was more than impressive, as was the layout of the displays. Nonstop “wow” through our entire visit. This is NOT a place to pass up. Thank you!
