RecommendedIf you are going to visit the Big Island and drive to the Volcano, you must stop here. The place is amazing. Even if you don't plan on buying anything, you will be blown away and especially if you are an orchid lover. It is easy to spot from the road and lots of parking. The best thing of this attraction is that it is FREE! Stop, walk around, and enjoy the amazing variety of orchids. Lovely place to stop if you are near HVNP. Gorgeous flowers, interesting & educational exhibits, clean restrooms, and a gift shop selling quality merchandise.

Great learning tour of the greenhouses and orchid growing process! Even got to plant our own orchid to take home. Much more than we expected and such an interesting time! Kudos to the Akatsuka family!!! You make our world more beautiful!
