Will take care of you while in the hospital but will not reimburse when it comes time to pay up on airfare. Flew my fiance over to be by my side and paid my hospital bill but as I already had a ticket to return home when I was well I bought her ticket for much less than the original ticket through AIG. When my Mom passed and her insurance policy was with AIG, it took me numerous calls to obtain help. I received a different story every time I called. I was told the forms were in the mail which I never received, and finally, I was able to reach someone that was knowledgeable and experienced that told me the forms were on the website and the URL to obtain them. aig insurance on flights is not worth the time or money. on $200 flight missed they want you to spend more on doctor notes to get them to refund your money. they have no regard that it was out of you state and you have no access to this info.
They have been calling me at 3am. I am on no call list.
Do not due business with these guys! They misled me into thinking this was legit life insurance and then stole my $100. I have written, faxed and called to get my cash back to no avail. AIG will take your money! I guess they really needed my $100.
I am not happy at all with their service. They never had a set date to withdraw fee, when they finally drew out their fee they caused my other bills to bounce. I only went to the Doctor once while I had this insurance, but they have refused to pay their part of the bill. To make matters worse, no one answered the phone to resolve any issues.
My husband took out a life insurance claim throughout NYSUT while employed by SUNY college. After he retired he still paid out on his claim. My husband died and I the designee was then redirected to Mercer Consumer 12421 Meredith Drive in Urbandale IA. They asked for and received an original copy of my husband's death certificate together with the corresponding forms filled out at the direction of one of their employees.
