How do you have an A + rating? I never had the chance to become a customer. I wanted a term life insurance policy so I went online & looked at AIG. The site said to fill out a form to get a quote. I had done this with a few others, they gave me a quote based on amount I was asking for & my info,so figured same for AIG. Do NOT do business with AIG, American General Life Insurance Company. My parents have had a life insurance policy since '98. They have paid in hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. When the family trust requested an Inforce letter it was not received within the allotted 30 days. A second letter was requested. It was delayed because the address did not show through the envelope window. I called in search of life insurance quotes and ended up hanging up on the guy whom was being so very arrogant, disrespectful, unprofessional and completely ignorant. Kindergarteners have better mannerisms and are way more considerate then this bafoon who called himself an agent of AIG. I have never come across such insolence and utter *******in my life. This *******'s name is Keith C******. He definitely should be fired.

AIG is a horrible company that will figure how to get your money. Then AIG will figure how to keep it. Go else where there have to be better companies. It took me a month to find out if a 40 year old whole life policy had any money for us? After nearly a month of making me jump through hoops the answer was no. All the money paid into a whole life policy was gone. We are screwed. A I G is not.

This company is the worst in customer service. I tried to set up my dad's policy on auto draft filled out all the paperwork spoke to them. They verified they had it and would start Jan 3rd 2019 did not happen. I called they stated it didn't get updated they will do a one time draft and start Feb still no one time draft for January and the company is sending my dad cancellations letters in the mail getting him all upset. I think that this company is unethical. I had a term policy for many years and when I turned 70 in November without a notice I received a letter my term was up and policy was ended. I might add they were sure to send me a bill in September with no notice my policy was ending in two months. No star.

I purchased a hotel room in Tampa so I could be by my mother's side during a serious surgery. A week before the surgery, the doctors said my mother was too sick to operate on. I tried to cancel the room, but was not allowed to because it was "non-refundable". I submitted to AIG a signed note from her doctor. Then they wanted a form with very private information about my mother's condition completed. If I could give zero stars I would! I've had a policy with AIG for years and over a year ago I called to request a change of beneficiary form for my policy and received forms preselected for my children's policies. I was annoyed, but didn't think much of it until...I had to call today to add my newborn.
