Manicurist I attended this school and had a good experience. The staff was very good to me and I was good to them. I enjoyed my time there and did learn a lot. Most of these negative reviews that I read are probably from spoiled kids who want something for nothing. In life you only get something out of what you put into it. I put a lot of effort into learning and the staff knows that. They know who is serious about learning. Oh so glad ABC is here!!!! I have been visiting ABC Nail & Skin, Aesthetics Northwest, since I think 1995---long time. I go and have waxing and my most favorite treatment of all time, facials. Every spring and fall I get a series of 3 skin treatments called Kertalyese. I like the school as I think the students are more self conscious then other spa/salons. It's all good! I attended this school last year and I had a great experience. I agree with the review from Jan. Some of the reviews seem to be from a disgruntled student. This school gives you all the tools you need to become a first rate aesthetician or nail tech, depending on how much you want to put into it. As with any school, after you get your license (and they for sure give you the instruction you need to do that) that's when the real education begins. They have rules. Can't beat the prices I've been to the ABC Skin College for three types of services: waxing, manicure/acrylics, and pedicure. Each time I have had very nice students preforming the service on me. The prices are unbeatable! $5 for eyebrow waxing! $20 for manicure! $20 for a pedicure! I even had pariffen given complimentary...it's only a couple bucks extra! They also offer a spa package that includes a facial, pedicure, and manicure for $60!!!! Keep in mind that this is a school. You will not be in a aromatherapy room listenin... read more
STAY AWAY!!! I totally agree with both Anonymous' review down below. I was a nail/skin student there and I regretted attending this school so much!
Graduate I attended ABC Nail and Skin College to get may Nail Teach license. I loved everything about school at ABC. The small classes with 6 students to a class instead of 20 students for one instructor. I found the instructors to be very knowledgeable in all areas. They always had time to answer my questions and give me individual attention. The clients at ABC were all so nice and I was able to work o a lot of different people. Not a great learning experience! If you want to get your nails and skin stuff done its good for the students, but to learn there dont go. I went to school there for nails and I wasn't happy! There are only two teachers at the school, one at night and one during the day. Most of the time they are in their room not supervising their students so we don't know if what we do is right or wrong. If you want to learn something you have to ask them yourself. Excellent skin care for over two decades! Some of the comments recently posted are definitely false from my perspective. I moved to Seattle over twenty years ago and have been going to Aesthetics Northwest about every two weeks since. My skin looks terrific, and a large part of that is due the products and facials I've received there. The owner is an expert in skin care and has a true passion for the work.
