WAY TOO MUCH This spa is pretty but the lack of sincerity is blatent. The employees seemed rushed and indifferent. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but even though they were attentive, it seemed robotic. I won't go back.
Taking Day Spa's Seriously Just recently moved to the penthouse floor of a building in downtown Porland and a stones throw from the Pearl District (e.g. Powels books). Ample parking available in nearby lots although you have to pay. Arriving on the penthouse floor you are immediately embraced by the serenity of the the spa with a wide open spaces, exotic scents, and relaxing music. IN MY TOP 10 INTERNATIONALLY! I travel for business year round and have been to over one hundred spas around the globe,,,,,and some of them have been next to mind blowing. Aequis Spa falls into that spot,,,,I was taken so far away from any day to day thoughts and freed from the stress. I will continue to book with Aequis Spa and its wonderful staff when i know im headed to portland. Don't Go There I purchased two gift certificates (each at $100) from the Aequis spa over the telephone in December 2008. They mailed me the certificates and I gave them as Christmas gifts to my sisters-in-law last Christmas. I then made an appointment with Aequis for the three of us to have manicures/pedicures in February 2009. I made the appointment a month in advance because it is very difficult for the three of us to arrange our schedules to get together. Very Wonderful spa thanks I read some of the reviews before I went into this spa and was a bit nervous. It was pre-booked based on a best friends recommendation, so I went in. To my surprise, It was exquisitely wonderful, it was like i had just stepped into my heart and out of my busy career. Thank you very much and hope to find time to return
Aequis Spa Terrible Customer Service! I haven't even been able to go to use the gift package I received as their customer service is horrible. My daughter bought a package for me for Christmas. I never received a gift card or email though she bought it on the phone and specifically asked for a gift message to be sent to me. The whole surprise was ruined, and after numerous calls from my daughter, they finally stated a "staff person" made an email error. I have a gift certificate for a luxury 2 hour massage and facial whete $475.00 of our money was recieved by this company, They are now out of business, and I am out all that money. I tried to schedule an appointment around the time they were moving location from Hoyt St. Suite 201, just 9 blocks South to SW 11th Suite A on the 4th floor. I received a gift certificate at – This is a follow up to my initial review. Please read that and realize I have filed a BBB complaint asking for a refund. I was told they do not give refunds, but read the email I received from the owner and you will see that is not true. My continued complaint is regarding their lack of customer service.
