Monthly charges are excessive if you don’t sign multi year contracts. Then if you have to move before your contract is up you’re screwed
This company hires people who lie and do not care about helping the customer. My husband and I have spent over 50 hours on the phone with ADT from June 23rd to today, July 31st. The same issue we have been calling about for over a month, is still not resolved. We wanted to transfer ADT service to our new home. However, after over a month of attempts, the self setup home hub kit that was sent to us at our new home is still not able to be set up. ADT is the most dishonest company I have ever done business with. They also own a company called Defenders. It’s a “license distributor/vendor” they use as their thugs to do their dirty work and then claim it wasn’t them. The majority of ADT clients have absolutely NO idea that it wasn’t ADT that installed their system and have to find out the hard way. I know, I’m sure it’s hard to believe. Be warned ! You see ADT signs on many lawns still & they claim 145 yrs of business history but they charge ever increasing monthly monitoring fees with no product support/ service ! You have to figure out what batteries sensors need & find them on your own. But all this pales in comparison with the run around & hoops that they make you jump through when you move & want to cancel ! OMG .
