A year ago I hired this company, and they told me I could cancel the service at any time. Now they're telling me that if I cancel, I have to pay a $1,300 penalty... and that's not all, the cameras don't work and they haven't come to repair them.
We moved into a new home and ADT has been nothing but a nightmare. A tech came on 9/18, couldn’t get the system set up, said he’d mail batteries and we’d have to do it ourselves, then booked a “digital appointment” for 9/22. When ADT called, the rep had no idea what the tech had done and basically told us it was our job to figure out installation. I was moving to my new house and was told by one of ADT’s employees that I didn’t need to bring my equipment with me because they would replace all the same equipment that I purchased I explained to the young man by the name of Scott Adam that I paid 1800 dollars for this alarm system and why should I leave it for someone else to just move in and pay nothing except monitoring fee?
