About 8 years ago I had a detached retina. It was pretty traumatic and scary at the time and I was one of those emergency patients who was luckily squeezed in. Dr Gilhotra was excellent in explaining what would happen and he showed great kindness and empathy to someone he had not met before. As I now visit regularly I can say that this is still the case.
