A great experience! This place is excellent. The man at the front desk was so helpful in aiding me select my glasses. He had good taste and helped me choose something that really suited me. The doctor was amazing and thorough and prescribed me lenses better than the ones I came in to replace. I would recommend this place to anyone for the great service and selection.

bad Dr. The Dr. doesn't know what he is doing. I don't recommend the place at all. After I told Dr. that the measure was not correct because I couldn't see well, he got upset and mistreated me, so basically only the first time I arrived he was very nice but after that everything was bad. (this is in downtown Adams optic).

Still left looking for a good pair of glasses I had to make several visits and it took 6 weeks for Adams Optics to get my glasses made right. The lenses were ground improperly, the optometrist never offered to adjust the frames, and one lens wasn't even properly place inside the frame. Also, $99 isn't such a deal when the exact same frame can be bought for $39 elsewhere, as I discovered in my case. I wanted to help out a local business, but my experiences with these guys made me look elsewhere for a properly made pair of gla... read more

Fishbowl lenses After spending close to 200.00 on glasses, they were like looking thru a fishbowl. This will be the 4th trip to the store ( they didn't call to tell me the glasses were ready, and they weren't). My advice, go elsewhere.

You get what you pay for? I went to Adams because of a recommendation from a friend and because their prices were good. About 10 visits and 6 weeks later, I finally left with my glasses and contact lenses. There were some mix-ups with the lense provider, and I know that they were doing the best they could, but it was still irritating. The staff was very friendly, but don't always believe them when they say "I'll call you when they get in," because I often had to call them. PROS: friendly staff, doctor seems good CONS: custom... read more

Great personal service! Unbelievable price! Excellent experience at Adams Optics! They provided great customer service at an unbelievable price. The product was excellent and they had it ready in less than 24 hours. I hate paying a fortune for glasses and because of Adams Optics, I didn't have to.

Adams Optics, Athens, GA - Not what they used to be !! Adams Optics has recently closed their store on the Atlanta Highway across from the mall. Unfortunately, you now have to go to the downtown store. Their selection of frames is not the best. Lots of the same (duplicates), and not quality frames. Many of the frames I picked up to look at were bent and some were actually missing the pins and fell apart in my hands. No designer frames and the customer service stinks!! It's impossible to get any of the salespeople to help you... read more

Adams Optics is not what it used to be #2 We have two family members in glasses. The first experience I had was with my young daughter who is hard to fit. The service at the Atl Hwy location (now closed) was poor and the associates were unfriendly. The frame selection was limited and not of high quality...I suppose that's why I only paid $100 for her glasses. My next experience was at the new location in Watkinsville. Not much has changed. When I went in for an adjustment, the woman proceeded to bend the glasses with her han... read more

Not recommended I have been to many glasses stores and met Optometrists, but Adams Optic(Athens downtown) is the worst of all! The customer service is terrible and the optometrist is the strangest guy I've ever met. The first appointment was great, everyone was nice and everything went smooth. Optometrist asked me to send him my previous contact lenses prescription to his email, but I dropped it off to the store because I was near by. Then he called me later and said I shouldn't have done that, and told me to call the store ... read more
