We recently stayed at the Lakefront Leisure with our two dogs and we all loved it! The fenced in yard was a huge bonus for us, so our dogs could roam around while we enjoyed the hot tub at sunset. A beautiful view and a great cabin. The surrounding neighborhood was really nice and everything was quiet and relaxing. After a long and stressful school year, Home Sweet Home couldn't have offered me more peace and quiet. The location was magnificent as it was very close to the forest walking trail. The cabin itself was quite excellent, cozy and comfortable. With the exception of a few minor damages and a missing window tent which prevented us from opening one of the bedroom windows at night, the cabin certainly exceeded our expectations. We are a family of 4 who needed a weekend away and this home was just what we needed. We actually own a vacation rental company where we handle beach houses in Newport Beach so we know the "routine" so everything about this home from the little notes the owners provided around the home to the menus in a cute little folder to the lables for the dishes, were amazing additions to our weekend. Same cabin both times – I have used cool cabins for the past 2 winters and both times I was satisfied with this company. I got the same cabin both times "Frashers Forest" with about 14 friends. I dont know about the other reviews but the driveway was always plowed, clean, and plenty of amenities inside. My husband and I stayed at Knotty Pine Cabin over Labor Day weekend. We had a fantastic time, and will be requesting that cabin again the next time we go back. We have two dogs and asked for a place with a fenced yard. Knotty Pine Cabin had a big backyard with a 6-foot fence. It also had a great back deck with a BBQ on it that we ate on every night. I went last winter with a group of 8 people plus a dog. We rented Two Pines Dog Friendly Cabin. We had a fun time lighting a fire, baking cookies and playing in the snow out front. It is in a great location to walk/hike around the streets. I would definitely stay there again!
We've stayed in two different cabins they manage, and both have been quite nice. The bedding is fresh and clean, and Cool Cabins provides plenty of clean white towels and toiletries for your stay. If anything needs attention, they respond fairly quickly and remedy the situation. We stayed in Big Bear in late May, and also in early November; both times were during relatively warm weather. No complaints – We stayed at the rental home for two nights and had virtually no complaints. The house was clean and the furniture and linens were very comfortable. The heating was adequate, though the two bedrooms do not have individual heaters so you have to keep it going for some time to get the house warm. The patio and yard was well kept and all fixtures and supplies were adequate. Location wise it is definitely very accessible to all the attractions. All in all I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.
Well taken care of – We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The house #1100 was absolutely wonderful. Spacious, clean, comfortable and well taken care of. We felt at home and we felt the owners take pride and care in making sure their vacationers are comfortable. My favoriite was the fireplace and the kitchen. We made sure to leave everything as nice which is something we always do but in this case I made sure to take extra care.
