My daughter and I just arrived from Toronto. After checking into our hotel we were hungry and decided to take a walk to see what we could find. We went around the corner from our hotel and literally stumbled upon this place. It wasn't exactly what we had in mind, but we are so glad we picked it. The food was excellent and we were offered a few complimentary extras that added to our experience. The rugelach was divine! Highly recommended.
Great restaurant. Great service at the bar!!! Happy hours from 5-7 is a great deal.
Abe Fisher, easily the best restaurant we have been to in a very long time. 5 of the 7 plates we had were holy s**t great. The other 2 were just great. Can't wait to go to Zahav! Rob at the bar was awesome, fantastic cocktails and service. He brought us a Mackerel and wine paring that was fantastic. Cocktails were also delicious, Rust in the wind and The Green belt.
I'd like to begin by tipping my figurative cap to the young chef Yehudi Sichel with whom is doing an exceptional job delivering authentic jewish cuisine which is creative and unlike no other. It was refreshing to see a jewish based restaurant not capitulating to matzo balls and falafel and extending it's creativity and remaining rooted in its values. Great food. Everything that I tried was innovative and delicious.
The room was noisy. The food was excellent with an unusual combinations and so was the service!
