I just want y'all to know that the vet at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, is the WORST fucking vet I have ever been to. He was rude, condescending, and just genuinely disrespectful. Not to mention the staff was rude to our dog. YOU WORK WITH ANIMALS FOR A LIVING, try to be less of an asshole please. You went to hold down our 8 month old puppy by putting her in a headlock, and then when she wouldn't sit still you had the audacity to look at us and say "may I recommend obedience classes?" Adopted Jacob today. I can't believe how well behaved he is! Wonderful dog and he's already following me everywhere and coming up to me for hugs. Love him! Thank you guys!
My husband and I adopted a puppy in the beginning of June from here. A few days later we were devastated when our puppy became extremely ill, but the Humane Society reached out to us immediately and their animal hospital took amazing care of our boy and ensured us they would until he was completely better. This included all day care and costs covered at an overnight hospital. The care he received at the HSTB by the vets and technicians was amazing and they treated him as if he was their own baby.
I can't express my extreme warm feelings I get when volunteering at the Humane.You really have to visit the site to see all that goes on at the site. It is so rewarding to volunteer in the different areas. I really enjoy the animal intake where I comfort the little guys just coming out of surgery ,the newbees, Time well spent and rewarding.
Unfortunately I cannot give a good rating, as a "walkin" you don't expect to get seen right away and I totally understand that appts have priorities, but to have us sit there from 9:30am until 3pm to see a Vet is totally unacceptable. Then to tell you they "don't know what she has", when all they had to do was a rectal exam and then they sent me to an expensive as heck clinic TAMPA BAY VETERINARY emergency clinic off of bearss where they wanted an arm n a leg knowing that if they had checked her properly they would have felt... read more
We just had our dog spayed at their Animal Hospital on the 18th. The staff was extremely kind and caring and the facility was clean. Unexpectedly we were also able to take care of extra things for our dog while we were there all in the same visit which made it very convenient. We loved this place!
