I think Abbott Diabetes Care deserves a large class action lawsuit. It is truly sad how poorly this recall has been managed, or not managed I should say. The place lives and health at risk of those that keep them in business and act as if they are doing you a favor by your purchasing their test strips.
This company is a joke. Their employees are bad circus clowns, bumbling over their own words. The way they handle "customer care" is laughable at best.
Dealing with the Freestyle strips recall has been a nightmare. Why did they send me a FedEx letter requiring signature when everyone is at work? It is not helpful. There will be no one home to wait for the letter and no one will be going to the FedEx facility to pick it up. We found out about recall from other people. Abbott took forever to inform everyone. And today I've tried calling three times to get through. The wait time is outrageous, they obviously did not staff their call center appropriately to handle the call volu... read more
Very unhappy that they have recalled the Freestyle strips for my insulin pump and then dont man their call center appropriately to accept the volume of calls to get replacements. Have been on hold for 2 hours so farafter trying to call all morning and having nothing happen because they had issues.
