One of the best steaks I have ever had
It was a very relaxed fine dining experience. You could go dressed up, business casual or jeans with a nice shirt. It’s Mid West Fine Dining at its best! Food was delicious! If you want the best steak in Iowa, it’s here! Our server, Debbie, was excellent!

For a high end steak house the quality was disappointing. My husband had scallops with his steak and they were over cooked burnt. After being asked twice how the food was we relented to telling a manager about the scallops. Nothing was offered to rectify the situation. We also had a slice of carrot cake, the presentation was terrible. The cake looked like it was a frozen box cake and the layers were all slid off of each other. The ambiance was nice but not worth the price for the food.

Subpar food. It’s ridiculous when the waitress recommends your steak be cooked longer but doesn’t bother to tell you about their “Signature Char” aka we burn our steaks. Everything was sub standard for the supposedly “high end” restaurant. The tuna tar tar was laughable. Even the lava cake looked like something from Little Debbie. Go to Flemmings or even The Cheesecake Factory.

It was our anniversary and we had an issue that management worked out quickly and were so kind. Wonderful food and drink. Service out of this world. I have eaten in NYC’s finest restaurants and they have nothing over 801. Thank you so much to everybody @ 801.....
