Technician came to look at our ceiling which had water leakage from pipe. No walls or ceiling was opened to look at the source of leak. All that was visible was water dripping from the ceiling. Nothing was visible except for water dripping from the ceiling, that's it. We find out the next day that 5 Star Home Services technician, Enrique, had reported that there was visible mold when in fact there was no visible mold at all. Because of his report, our home warranty denied our coverage. It is completely wrong to report someth... read more

"Gary" (assistant "Mush") came to my home this morning and I have to tell you how very happy I was, not only with their professionalism but with how kind and amiable they were. Gary really listened to me before we got started, so he was able to quickly and efficiently detect the trouble and to repair it without unnecessary expense. I am breathing a huge sigh of relief and am ever so thankful! If I need to use a plumbing service again, I will not for one moment hesitate to contact "5 Star Home Services, Inc". I highly recomme... read more
My water heater went out on February 11th. This company was assigned to me by my warranty company American Home Shield and they came to my house on Saturday February 12th. The technician diagnosed my water heater as leaking and needed to be replaced. He then tells me that I will have to wait a week to over a month to get approved a replacement by AHS. He then tells me the water heater that AHS uses to replace mine is a piece of junk. He then tells me that his boss authorized him, at a expedited fee of $350 to use there unit ... read more
Home warranty company scheduled an appointment for today from 11-3. 5 Star Home Services was a no call, no show. When I called to ask where the technician was the woman got an attitude and said we never had an appointment. They say they called and left a message, my call logs and empty voicemail shows that is a lie. Avoid this company at all costs. I have notified the warranty company and advised them not to contract out to this shady company.
Zero stars. I was not surprised that they pulled the same thing they did to me on another customer. Las June/July, my home warranty sent them out to fix my PVC for my restroom. The tech this co sent verbally stated one thing and wrote down on the paperwork something totally different. He asked for a couple hundred CASH upfront ok the spot. He wanted to make a hole in my restroom wall to find the pvc. He went into my attic with a stool & almost fell of when getting down. I had to provide a ladder for him to get come down safe... read more

Dear Berta, we're sorry for your experience, trying to find your account, can you please provide your address, we have not found any work orders under your name.
Currently in a dispute for overcharge. Bathtub faucet has been leaking to the point where it doesn't turn off anymore and a slow stream of water was coming out. We had a plumber come out who let me know the cartridge needed replacing and that he had it on the truck and it would be $250 or that I could order the part and wait for it to be shipped. I asked if I do that and order the part, will the water just be running this entire time until the part arrived and the plumber flat out told me "yup.". Having no plumbing knowledge... read more
Business response:
upon arrival technician found a shower valve leaking, customer has regular Moen shower valve. One cannot just turn off a shower valve, that is not how plumbing works. Cartridge needed to be replaced, in order to stop the leak, customer didn't want to wait around 2 weeks, to receive the part from the manufacturer, and agreed to pay us to replace immediately. That's it. We're not a retail company that sells parts, even if the part is $50 only, customer should've bought it himself and replaced it, but that's not why they opened... read more
I had a toilet issue and ARGO came out and not only solved the problem but took the time to explain some maintenance things I was not doing that would save me problems down the road. He was so caring, professional and knowledgeable and made sure I understood what he was telling me. I have never had a serviceman take the time to do the work and make sure I knew what he was doing. I highly recommend this company.
I have used 5 Star Home Services at my rental house for a plumbing issue relating to the sewer pipes. The pipes were allegedly needing a very expensive repair according to another plumber. As a second opinion, I had 5 Star Home Services came out with their sewer pipe camera. The video of the camera running from the city sewer pipe at the street all the way through my pipes and out to the cleanout proved that the pipes were not needing to be replaced or repaired. The 5 Star Home Services plumber was very honest and trustwor... read more
They came out to see about my leaking tub diverter, the technician said it was angled wrong so the water dripped to the shower wall which is bull. Once the water is turned off, it should stop and not continue to drip. Secondly my master shower handle cartridges (2 each) is leaking because the grout is wet under it between the wall and the floor when it is dry. The technician said it is not leaking, it's from the shower head. I know for a fact the cartridge is leaking because I took off the handles and it was leaking from the... read more
Business response:
Dear customer, none of the fixtures are leaking, when they are off. Or when they are in use. It's just the excess water in lines, that pours down from the shower head, when you turn it off. If, as you claim to taken off the handle and seen a leak from cartridge, it should leak down from the front of the handle, in use or not, which is not the case. If there was a failure, we would have gladly repaired or replaced and billed your home warranty, after all, that's how we make our living. If you do not agree with our professiona... read more
