I don't understand how being seen as a mil spouse needs to be this difficult. We've been here for 4 years and nothing has approved on the family health clinic side. If the group commander can't get this organization in shape then patients deserve consistent care off base and not at urgent care facilities!
I retired from the base Clinic many years ago. The care I got yesterday was truly outstanding. Ms Vaughn and PA Stelmaschuk showed a high degree of compassion, empathy and professionalism.
I should not have to fight to be seen every single time I need care. My provider wanted me to go to the desk to schedule a follow up right away. Only problem is they had her in the system as only seeing active duty which wasn't correct so I had to wait for that to be corrected. Now there are zero appointments available online or when calling in. What do I have to do to get care?!?!
Sgt. Lawson in the pharmacy... AMAZING!! Had an issue with picking up my RX at Gunter and she helped me get it refilled over at maxwell the same day and within 5 minutes!!! And, even though it was very busy, she had a pleasant attitude and smiled the entire time!!! Thank you for all you guys do!!
I had back surgery and needed to have a script filled on my way home. I am not allowed to sit for more than 1 hour a day. They originally told my husband it would be 2.5 hours to get it filled. When he explained the situation, the script was filled in 20 minute and they sent out a note that said, "Please feell better, Pharmacy ". It brought me to tears the compassion they had.
The absolute best service and professional group of medical personnel I've ever encountered through VA. Thanks guys!
I recently attended a baby care class hosted at the Airman and Family Readiness Center by the Medical Group's Family Advocacy Nurse....simply Fantastic! Nurse Gwynn taught such an amazing class and is truly an expert in her field! There were several other subject matter experts as well who spoke as well. As a retiree, I am so thankful I can still use the medical facility. The care providers genuinely care about their patients. I feel reconnected to the best 22 years of my professional career when I go to MAFB, especially the clinic. I wish all the facikities, i.e. BX, commissary treated retirees as well.
