I went to see this place for the first time yesterday. The atmosphere is amazing. Huge bar area with plenty of seating as well. The lamb sliders were on point and the duck tacos are definitely worth going for. Definitely a must stop if you find yourself in the Hagerstown area. Keep doing your thing Jay!!
Awesome place! Great food,Excellent Service, huge tables...very inviting and comfortable.
I had the hancut ribeye with truffle butter. Medium Rare of course. Perfect! The truffle butter is off the chain. Service was just right.
28 South is our favorite restaurant in the four-state area. We always leave full and satisfied. Tonight we enjoyed the chicken pate' with cognac jelly, which was very flavorful and well balanced. Jay is a very gifted chef. We recommend 28 South to all our friends and look forward to the new menu items.
I work for the Fire Deptartment in Hagerstown. I have gotten dinner from this place for the last 3 years about once or twice a month when I'm working at the station right across the street. Every time I have called a togo order in it's been prepared quickly and very good. Tonight they refused to let me pay for my dinner, even after I insisted that I do pay for it. Server was great. My husband got the Chesapeake burger ge liked ir. I got Rueben sliders they were very salty.
Beer selection and ambience were great. Our server was very friendly. Blue crab wontons for an appetizer were very tasty with a good amount of crab. Unfortunately I was disappointed and underwhelmed by my entree. The pork belly with blueberry compote was bland and one note, and unfortunately looked as dull as it tasted.
