We were visiting Chicago for the weekend and wanted to do something inexpensive on Sunday. We saw the zoo was open 365 days a year and decided to visit. We were a little worried about not seeing the animals out because it was cold but we were pleasantly surprised we got to see numerous animals out. We also got educated by the seal exhibit trainers which was great. We look forward to coming back in the spring.
I was very impressed with this free, cozy and intimate destination. The enrichment programs the staff perform with the animals are outstanding.
Since I arrive to Chicago, this has been one of my favorite spots. The events, the food and I just never get tired of looking at the animals and learning about them.
Loved getting to see all the animals. They were super active and fun to photograph. This zoo is FREE which is amazing! We adopted an animal.
Even on a cold and rainy day, this was still a fun place to visit. We were even lucky enough to be there for the polar bear enrichment session, and the persons doing the event were very intelligent and friendly.
Fall fest is the best!! Every year we take my daughter they do a great job 🍂🎃🍂🎃

I’ve been coming for the last 7yrs with my son I just don’t understand why the long lines the different places to get candy when all the stations have the same candy !!!! You wait all that time to get the same thing it should be something different at each station and this year it was very cold so to have children and their parents stand in Long lines with hundreds of people doesn’t make sense to me !! Spooky zoo is always a good time. I've been going sense I was a kid; now i take my little one and we are never disappointed.
