Went to the zoo lights and my husband had his gun AND badges on him, 3 workers saw the gun, asked to credentials and said okay you, your pregnant wife, and 3 children have fun. We went to the light maze, and when we came out rent-a-security was there, he said either he has to put his gun in car or leave (it's illegal for him to leave his gun in the car) so he escorted us off the ground, we walked passed gang members flashing gang signs and smoking weed, and security said NOTHING to them. This zoo is my favorite! It is so well kept and the staff is beyond amazing! I could stay in the African ape building all day long and watch them play!
Great time under the Christmas lights. Had not been in a few years. The shopping fare was nice too. Great assortment. Hope vendors made some money. The carousel was the best. Not many animals out at night. Guess that's understandable. Can't wait to see what renovations happen to the lion house.

I love Chicago and Lincoln Park zoo! It’s smaller then I thought. I was lost there as a kid and it seemed so big. But great times and my mom was only a few feet away.
Zoo lights was good,atmosphere of the crowd was great.The lights at night was a good show ! One thing they got to work on is traffic getting in and out.
Went to Zoo lights on Saturday and it was very crowded due to it being the holiday weekend so would not go again doing that time! Also the bathroom situation is very bad u wait 20mins for a bathroom so maybe more porter potties 🚽 throughout the zoo so the bathrooms aren’t so crowded! Last, seeing Santa 🎅🏾 felt very rushed and pictures came out horrible! They took 2 and most of the kids weren’t even looking at the camera photographer didn’t seem to have patience. It was a lot of fun. Very crowded probably because it was nice weather. Displays were very beautiful.
Everything is beautiful the parking is a bit out ragus especially for the people that don't have money parking should be less money for people to enjoy them self with there kids .
