I ordered and paid for a service call back in April 2024. A month later, the service call was cancelled and rescheduled and when the 2nd date for the service call was here, the service represented had to cancel the service. The company required that I pay in advance, so I sent them a check to their headquarters in *******, **. I have called twice to get a refund but still nothing.Do not do business with this company.

October 2019, we purchased solars from 1st Light Energy. Since then we have had a few issues, with the capping of the solars etc and after months of arguing the issues were finally completed. Since November 2022, we have had massive leaks in our home; after calling several roofers, it was agreed that the problem stems from the way that the solars were bolted down into the roof. The panels 1st Light installed on my roof have never worked. They did an analysis on my system and determined that my panels are producing at 50% capacity. Their suggestion to get the panels to work is to cut down hundreds of trees on OTHER PEOPLE'S property to reduce shade. Clearly this is something I can not do. 1st Light is a scam. Their product does not work, and their warranty is a joke.

First problem, a sales person will sit down at your table and talk about a "call home" feature if your solar stops working, they'll know and notify you. Only that's a lie, because when it stops working and I catch it after a few months, I bring it up to them, and am told "it's my responsibility to monitor.Second problem, I purchase a 40k dollar system that had a hardware failure in less than 5 years, and I have to pay $250 to get them to come out and diagnose it. I had solar installed and it is not helping my energy bill. I’ve been trying to reach someone to check it and I cannot receive a response from anyone! I thought they were caring people but they put me in debt and never looked back!

Great company awesome service efficient & professional quick install super clean work reps were courteous & well mannered. My system was installed in about 50 days expectations were set & met properly.

I asked for them to honor there 10 year warranty on production 7 years in . half my system was not working for 6 months and after there third attempt and closing the tickets they still didn't fix it. they warned me not to attempt to repair it my self once they heard I was an Electrician or i would lose my warranty (what warranty ? ) but I had no choice what I found was all there field terminations were done with the wrong tool and were melting. poor workmanship and they have no one licensed in the state of Massachusetts to d... read more

I think 1st Light Energy is the worst solar company out there , their service and customer service is the worst. Ever since solar installation back in October 2019 I've been having problems with the system it never produced the way it's supposed to, and every time I called they always tell me the system is working fine and yet my monthly electricity bill is always over $200 on top of $194.63 monthly for the system. 7 years ago I would have given this company a 5 star rating, but they have gone way down hill from there. I have contacted them numerous time for about my Solar and they have not responded. I filled out multiple service tickets (they promise a 3 day response time) and nothing for the last few months. They still owe me a $500 referral bonus from over a year ago and still nothing. With this type of customer service I would assume they have closed their doors.
