1909 Temecula is a tribute to the Machado building, the location where the restaurant and bar now lives. Well before the 1909 burger was created, this structure has been home to a trading post, livery, auto shop and most notably a bar. During the 70's, the Longbranch Saloon was known as the roughest place in town to get a drink. Locals often stop in and tell stories of brawls and shootings. I do not recommend supporting this small business any longer they used to be one of my favorite places to eat until recently. We are a family that is not following like sheep during this Covid pandemic we choose to go to restaurants that are also doing the same. we are locals to old town and love to walk down and have breakfast or dinner in one of our small restaurants. We love 1909! The atmosphere is always inviting and the staff is awesome! They know how to treat their guests. Food is always yummy too.
The Bison burgers were great as was my bahn mi salad.
We were seated but when we realized no one was coming to take our orders we asked for a manager. He came out and apologized that during the shift change no one was covering our table. He said first drinks were on the house. We thanked him and continued to have a marvelous experience. I love the staff and the food is so good!! First time we have ever had a glitch in our experience at 1909. We will continue to be customer’s because of great customer service, good food and good drinks😜
