Brunch at 1905 is exceptional. Try the truffled grits and confit chicken and waffles. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Chef Hatton knows his stuff.
The food, cocktails, and service are always amazing.
One of the best restaurants I've eaten at in a long time. The kind of place where I slow down because I don't want it to end. Relatively empty on a freezing night which still didn't make sense. Had Tuna, charcuterie plate, beet salad. Great!

My family and I, a party of seven, had our first Washington DC dinner at 1905. In a word, it was an amazing way to start our 8 days in Washington DC. We were treated with courtesy, politeness and kindness from the moment we stepped in the restaurant. The food was served with speed and was of high quality. The environment was very warm and the rooftop setting was really enjoyable for anyone that wants to have a more informal environment. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for any one visiting Washington DC.

The upstairs Bar was quite good, fast service when busy and consistent cocktails. The food was ok, decent portions and cooked decently but the presentation was pretty dull. The wait seemed inconsistent, I wish the person handling the table next to ours was our waiter. The basement bar is a typical college bar, smells like old beer and sanitizer.
