Wow! This was an accidental google find. My sister and I were looking for a new place to try and this came up in the search. By far - the best food I have had since moving to Alabama! Food incredible, service - warm, polite - atmosphere - great - we will be back!!

1892 E is our "go to" restaurant for a variety of reasons!! It's locally owned, food served is locally grown for the most part, servers are great and food is super good! They usually have a fresh seafood special plus one other. They have a very decent wine and beer selection as well. The only complaint ( not really too significant) I've ever had is that the white wines are not chilled enough. I wish they could resolve this issue! Always one of our favorites! Great bar to sit at for dinner and the shrimp & grits are a must!
Lovely lunch spot. Server was very knowledgable about menu items. Atmosphere not at all pretentious but would be great for a business lunch. Reasonable price paid and great value for a great local meal.
