Great time twice in one month – We tried this restaurant two years ago and had a nice time but had not been back because we don't go downtown often. I had an office lunch party and a Christmas dinner gathering there twice this Dec. and loved both. The lunch menu is great because all of the entrees are very resonable and creative but not over the top. I had the shrimp and grits which were different and better than any I have had elsewhere including Charleston, S.C. At dinner I loved my grilled Salmon dish and the mojito cockt... read more

Worst meal in Raleigh – We dined at 18 Seaboard yesterday evening. The wine selection puny and flat. The bar was understocked. The food was under seasoned, if it was seasoned at all. The pork shank was dry, cold, and no where near the "crispy" it proclaimed. The ribeye was severely overcooked, medium-well as opposed to the medium-rare we ordered. The she crab soup was overly thick, almost paste-like and bland. Desserts were okay. Candy cane ice cream was the only saving grace. However, the restaurant was packed. I don't unde... read more

Good Food and Service The fish is good, the food is innovative. The staff, from the owner/chef to the waiters, make it an enjoyable meal! Great Appetizers, and very decent view. Great value for the quality.

Great food and service! – I went with three friends to try this restaurant out, and we are notoriously picky diners. Not one of us had anything negative at all to say about this experience! The autumn sangria was heavenly, the she-crab soup divine, and whomever is responsible for the goat cheese mashed red potatoes should be kissed heartily and often! Two of us had the scallop entree, one had the flank steak, and one the mahi, and we all sampled and sighed to our hearts' content. Followed by the mug chocolate dessert and cre... read more

Great Rehearsal Dinner!!! – We hosted a rehearsal dinner here a few weeks ago and must say we were very impressed. I have been to many large dinner parties in the Atlanta area and was a little apprehensive of our family having something this important in Raleigh but were blown away with the profesionalism of this restaurant. From our first call over a year ago to the time we left we were treated first class all the way. Our group, which was large-60ppl, was guided through our evening with extreme confidence as if we were the... read more

Best Lunch Special – I have had lunch here several times and always find the special outstanding and priced resonably. Our service has been speedy and polite, in and out in an hour but not rushed. The large parking lot helps as well. I will try for dinner when we are downtown sometime, I hope it is as good!

Great for large group – Second visit for me. This time with a business/work group. Had great food and service. I had the seh crab soup which is usally boring but this version is addictive. My entree the Catfish was fresh, seasoned well and had exciting flavor. For such a large group the service was very much on point. I hope to be back soon.

Great Restaurant at great price – Great girls night. I had salmon with salad for only about 13$ and was very impressed. Good mixed drinks friendly server who you could tell he wanted us to have a good time. I will return and try something else next time. Everyone with us liked there food and dessert is a don't miss, especially the chocalate in the coffee cup! Kudos!!!

Good food for the money – I went here with my boyfriend on the spur-of-the-moment one Saturday. Went in on our way home from Crema on Fayetteville Street to look over the menu and see if we could get a reservation for that night. They were able to seat us on the outdoor mezzanine that night at 6:30. Came in and it wasn't too crowded, but filled up pretty quickly. People were pretty dressed up; some in full suits and their Sunday best, we were in jeans and nice tops. The atmosphere was pretty upscale inside, slightly less so ... read more
