Great food, Great value – What a great place. The folks working here go out of there way to take care of us. The menu changes with what is most fresh at the time and the prices are such that you can come as often as you like. Keep up the great work 18 Seaboard!
Not that Great – Everything was just ok. Heard great things but? hostess was short at best and didn't make eye contact with us at all. again just ok
Raleigh Secret located – If your looking for Fresh done right with nothing overdone or over emphasized here it is. This place a has a small menu in comparison to other local restaurants. HOWEVER I prefer this style because of the five things we tried all of them were spot on. The ability to match any entree with a sauce makes for endless possibilities and endless flavor. It isn't the easiest place to find but well worth it. Well Done Guys.
We went to celebrate a birthday – I had made reservations and they seated us in a nice, round booth with tall walls that allowed some privacy. There was room for 6, close, or 4, comfortably. We had lots of room but were close enough to share across and around the table easily. Our server was an extrovert named Rusty. He knew the menu thoroughly and was very pleasant but not overbearing. One of Raleigh's best – We have dined here many times over the past few years and have always been very impressed. The staff is extremely professional and there is always a good vibe. Our first time here we said that the prices would go up because it was so busy and good but on our most recent visit they were still the same. Try the pork shank or the grilled salmon. The specials are great as well. Thanks 18 Seaboard for adding to Raliegh's growing dining choices!
I mean grits!!! I know we are in a Southern state but you pay to eat grits with vegetables and a fish at a restaurant. You can eat that at my grandmas home. The price is ok!, of course for what they serve. There is nothing special to the whole menu, I tried twice, and even do the ambience is pretty, all employees look stress and the food is so generic, trust me you will not impress your guess at 18 Seaborad!
Great Father's Day – Excellent service! Sean was very attentive, and efficient. He answered all of our questions, and provided suggestions when needed. He was friendly without being overly familiar. When we decided to split the soup and salad, both the soup and the salad were brought it as two separate portions. Very few restaurants offer this type of service! Fun place! There always seems to be a dish with a twist. Have you ever tried grilled watermelon? It sounds different, but tastes sublime. You cannot go wrong with anything you order on the menu. Lunch is also a good choice if you want to go cheaper.
Love 18! Have always had great service and fabulous, creative food. Chef Jason has gone above and beyond to support Marbles Kids Museum, as well as other organizations--icing on the cake!
