In this beautifully muted, intimate space, you get the opportunity to sample excellent contemporary sushi and rolls. If you're feeling flush, order the chef's tasting menu and put yourself in Masato Shimizu's capable hands; or you can order from the a la carte menu. The fish is incredibly fresh and buttery and whilst the food is pricey, it's a delightful foray into authentic Japanese cuisine. A meal at 15 East will surely be a feast for the palate.

Dinner was lovely. I started with Hamachi Four Ways and had the Sea Urchin Lobster Risotto for my main course (which I could have eaten again immediately afterwards) and my husband had the sushi & sashimi Omikase. Both meals were superb with good portion size for fine dining, and we weren't disappointed with the quality. I want to apologize to the patient waitstaff that kept on replacing the napkin that kept slipping off my teflon shorts.... Really, really sorry.... BTW, everything was perfect.... Tasting menu is amazing... :)
I usually don't leave a review for any restaurants but 15 East is absolutely one of the best restaurants in NYC. Service and food are excellent! It's worth it!
