DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS!!! This gym will steal your money! They will continue to bill you even after you have taken all the necessary steps to cancel any membership. I recently moved away from Charlotte and wanted to cancel my membership. After filling out all necessary paperwork they told me there would be one more payment since it takes 30 days to cancel. David Peak Fitness was recently acquired by Fuzion Investment Capital....called ZX Fitness Peak Fitness recently closed their Pineville location because it was not a profitable facility. I had been a member at the Pineville facility for a little over a year and had watched that facility degrade over a period of time. I expect most of the bad reviews for Peak Fitness are the result of a desperate, flawed management group. Let's hope ZX improves the facilities and billing situation.
Stay Away!!!! Do not give Peak any of your money! They lie and will continue to take your money after you try and cancel your membership! They are very rude on the phone. It took many months of phone calls and letters before they stopped taking my money!
Peak Fitnessdiscriminates against breastfeeding mothers! Peak Fitness also discriminates against breastfeeding mothers. The manager of the Durham, NC outfit humiliated and embarassed me in front of staff, members and children in the childcare area while I was breastfeeding out 10 month old son under a blanket. This place should close it's doors! They are mismanaged and a sorry excuse for a "health club"!!!!
Peak Fitness is a scam I agree with all the billing complaints below. I canceled my contract back in February and am still getting bills from some place called National Fitness. After all three contracts were cancelled, this outfit went ahead and auto-renewed and started billing again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND THIER CONTRACT!!!!!!!
Rapidly Going Downhill I used to think very highly of the Peak Fitness on Pineville-Matthews Rd but it has rapidly gone downhill. The equipment is not being kept up, the lockers are falling apart in the locker rooms and they took down all of the TV's in the cardio area. If that isn't enough, they aren't adequately air conditioning the building. It is sometimes hotter in the gym than it is outside.Too bad. Used to be a good place to work out.
good gym we have been members for awhile and like the gym. We choose this gym bc it had free childcare WITH a monitor that you can see while you are working out. I like the fact that I can see my kids while I am working out and the girls in the childcare are very nice and helpful and love playing with the kids in the room. Over all it is a good gym, classes and location.
Agree with Deceptive Billing I signed up with Peak Fitness after being told that I could pay for my membership month to month vs it being taken out of my account monthly for an entire year. I explained to the representative that I didnot need to work out excessively and only wanted to engage in a few of the exercise classes when I fel t the need.
