Unprofessional and fraudulent employees I joined Peak Fitness at the Harrisburg location in 2001 and have been a member through the "change" to ZX Fitness. At the Harrisburg location I would have rated the club as fair - Staff was rarely friendly and never helpful but the classes and teachers were superb. The equipment was fair. ZX Fitness stole $70 from me. This is about ZX Fitness: DO NOT JOIN THIS HORRIBLE CLUB!!! They offer you a 3 day evaluation period and once you find the club in horrible disrepair with old broken equipment and dirty conditions that aggravate allergies, they refuse to refund the full amount.
I think ZX fitness is scamming. I got enrolled in the Harrisburg location, but they closed that center. In the letter to us, they wrote - the only reason to close was that even at the last hour, the could not secure the lease. THIS IS FALSE. Now, in the harrisburg location, there is a banner hanging - says some another fitness is coming there. I think ZX terminated the location to reduce cost, and put the people in other centers (but why should we take the burden of driving longer distances).
ZXFitness Extortion!! WOW! I am glad I found these posts!! We cancelled our membership over two years ago and have been going through the same issues that everyone listed is. ZXFitness continued to charge our account for 4 months after we cancelled. We finally had to close the account and have our bank do a charge back to get our money back. Deceptive business- buyer beware They will lie to get you under contract and take no responsibility for what they tell you verbally in order to get you to sign the contract. Take the contract home and read it before you sign it or, better yet, avoid Peak Fitness and ABC Financial (their sleazy billing company) altogether.
HORRIBLE GYM Peak Fitness now ZX fitness in concord is nothing but a ripoff!! they will say they never got your cancellation notice and that they will contiue to collect money out of your acount and then when you tell your bank not to let them draft anymore money they try their best to get you to pay hunreds of dollars that you supposedly owe them and then they try to send a lawyer out for you but, they forgot to tell their lawyer they had no running water!!! or AC!!
ZX FITNESS IS A RIPOFF !!! ZX fitness on 15-501 in Durham Sucks. Some bad breath, tall lightskinned brother named "Ray" is definitely an igmorant bastard. My wife and I went to cancel our membership and he purposely made us wait for 45 to an hour while "Ed" (his manager) leaned over his desk lollygagging with a buddy about old times instead of assisting with customers. STAY AWAY FROM PEAK!!! December 4th I requested that my membership to Peak Fitness be canceled. I was told that their would be no problem. That someone would fax me a form and then for me to fax it back. That my cancellation may take up to 30 days. I never received any fax. I called the number they have listed for customer service on several occasions leaving messages. I also sent several emails through their web site.
