Though the food is just ok, the wait staff is nice and friendly. They were a little confused we had to shuffle through the restaurants to see which one held our reservation only to end up back at the original location- but it was overall an ok experience.
Gold in that chicken? My family has Always gone here because of "tradition". Now it costs $20 per person, so don,t bring your spouse or "kids". You'll go broke. My God! It's ONLY chicken! I've been going there for 40 years, but no more. I,ll go enjoy a Filet Mignon somewhere. How Rich is "enough"?
I love going to Frankenmuth and eating at Zehnder's. Hands down the best chicken in town. Love the chicken dinner with all the fixins. Cole slaw is delightful, dressing delicious, egg noodles are the best. I also love the frozen (non-alcoholic) raspberry lemonade. Service is always top notch. If you are looking for good eats, definitely eat at Zehnder's. You won't be sorry.
Never again. The waitress was horrible, she was talking on her cell phone while seating us. The horror didn't end there. The soup was cold and thin. The bread had finger dents in it. The stuffing was gelatinous. I don't know if we were eating at the same Zehnders as the rest of the reviewers, but we won't be coming back. Especially at those prices.
Famous for family style dinners--especially chicken. Bowl of potatoes, veggies, bread and platters of chicken are served and as soon as they are empty, more is brought out. Very good service and great food. You should see the football teams and fraternities put the food away--worth the price just to watch.
Very Nice You must stop here or the restaurant across the street to try the famous chicken dinners. The lines can be super long so I recommend that you make reservations (online or by phone 2 days in advance).
Restaurant, etc. I have only been to their restaurant...but it was GREAT!! It was a full course meal that was wonderful, a little pricy, but WELL worth it!! If you are ever in Frankenmuth, check this place out!! They have great food...try their bread if you go, it's sooo good! They have tons of varities to choose from. Also, it's great for weddings or if you need cakes.
Best Chicken By Far!! Wow! We make Zehnder's a family trip at least twice a year. They have the best chicken in the world and I would have to say that their dressing is right up there with my moms! I would highly reccommend making reservations to dine here because there is often a long wait. Even if you have to wait, though, it is well worth it. Great food! We just celebrated my parent's 50th anniversary at Zehnder's. The restaurant is beautiful inside. We all ate from the buffet they offer on Sunday's only. There is plenty of food on the buffet so no one will be disappointed. My only complaint was the price. At $19.95 a person it seems a bit high. I really can't eat that much food so I didn't feel like I got my money's worth even though everything I ate was delicious.
