Very Nice You must stop here or the restaurant across the street to try the famous chicken dinners. The lines can be super long so I recommend that you make reservations (online or by phone 2 days in advance).
Fantistic Southern Style Food What trip to Frankenmuth would be complete without a dinner at Zehnder's? Its a tradition with our family. We love the chicken dinners. And my daughter and I always order chicken livers! But we also love the chicken, dressing, gravy and everything else. And now you can take home the left overs, a real plus in my book. Yes the price is a lot higher than when we first started going in the 70's, but what isn't? We would recommend eating there to everyone.
Great food! We just celebrated my parent's 50th anniversary at Zehnder's. The restaurant is beautiful inside. We all ate from the buffet they offer on Sunday's only. There is plenty of food on the buffet so no one will be disappointed. My only complaint was the price. At $19.95 a person it seems a bit high. Best Chicken By Far!! Wow! We make Zehnder's a family trip at least twice a year. They have the best chicken in the world and I would have to say that their dressing is right up there with my moms! I would highly reccommend making reservations to dine here because there is often a long wait. Even if you have to wait, though, it is well worth it. Never again. The waitress was horrible, she was talking on her cell phone while seating us. The horror didn't end there. The soup was cold and thin. The bread had finger dents in it. The stuffing was gelatinous. I don't know if we were eating at the same Zehnders as the rest of the reviewers, but we won't be coming back. Especially at those prices.
Restaurant, etc. I have only been to their restaurant...but it was GREAT!! It was a full course meal that was wonderful, a little pricy, but WELL worth it!! If you are ever in Frankenmuth, check this place out!! They have great food...try their bread if you go, it's sooo good! They have tons of varities to choose from. Also, it's great for weddings or if you need cakes.
What a meal Zehnders of Frankenmuth offers a melt in your mouth meal that could easily feed 2. We had to wait in line for this famous meal and we will wait again. The servings were so large that our 4 meals could have fed twice that amount. Excellent food and friendly service.

Gold in that chicken? My family has Always gone here because of "tradition". Now it costs $20 per person, so don,t bring your spouse or "kids". You'll go broke. My God! It's ONLY chicken! I've been going there for 40 years, but no more. I,ll go enjoy a Filet Mignon somewhere. How Rich is "enough"?
