My husband and I arrived at 5:00pm, which is the posted dinner hour. We were greeted warmly by the hostess who seated us with a window view. Our server, Brooke, promptly arrived with a beautiful smile and personality to match to take our drink order. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and spicy to our liking. As a life-time New Mexican, i was very, very disappointed with this restaurant that boasts "New Mexican Style Mexican food" The girl at the front desk last week when we were there had no clue what she was doing. She had people stacked up everywhere when we could see empty tables in the restaurant. As far as the menu....to my knowledge, i have never seen anyone from New Mexico eating a Snow Crab taco or enchilada. We are in the desert....we don't have access to snow crab unless frozen. If I could give negative stars I would. We went there for my son's birthday. My husband is not working due to a severe seizure disorder so we had to save money to come here. We had our meal and left and got a call because we left too small of a tip. How rude can someone be?! First of all I left all the cash that I had left. And second calling someone like that is one of the most ride things I've ever heard of . Then she called back and I didn't answer and she left a message saying we were banned from the restaurant. So happy that you are open again for the season I got a Togo order today it was fabulous Mariah always takes good care of us! The Salsa is to die for and the Snow Crab Enchiladas Omg so good!!! We will be back very soon!!!
OMG good! The first good Mexican food we've had since we left New Mexico and Yuma. We were in Cody to go to Yellowstone. Almost didn't go because all of the Mexican food up till then was terrible. What a surprise Zapata's was geat, good burro, and margaritas, and salsa! If we're ever back in Cody will definitely go again!
