I've found Dr. Yuko to be a really caring PCP which makes me feel more confident about my care. The one detractor from my perspective is that there is no in-office lab, all bloodwork is usually done via Quest which can be very hit and miss in terms of drawing blood. That said I would recommend Dr. Yuko if you're in the area. She really goes the extra mile to be thorough and listen to any concerns.
Dr. McColgan has by far and away the worst bedside manner I've ever seen in a doctor. Before the physical, I got a letter which stated the 4 blood tests I was supposed to get, and I took the letter with me to get those 4 tests. Well, it turns out that McColgan wanted me to get over a dozen blood tests, and I was supposed to somehow figure this out. I let her know that right after she opened the door. Dr. Yuko is the best! You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. She uses a blend of Eastern and Western medicine and sees you as a whole person, so she evaluates your whole body and symptoms to find the best course of action. I appreciate how thorough and kind she is, and her practice is always great about getting patients seen as soon as possible.
現在 アメリカ以外の他国で生活しています。ボストンにいた時は、ありがたい気持ちが、今よりも低かったのですが(当たり前に感じていて)、他国で医療の不安を感じる度に、ボストンではyuko先生がいらしてくれたから安心だったことを、有り難く思い出します。ほぼいつでも診療に応じてくださいますし、先生自体がポジティブで元気を貰えます。アメリカのジェネラル医師は、全てに精通してレベルが高い、というのは日本の医師から聞いていましたが、特に他国で、医療の不安を感じるたびに、そう思います。私は英語には全く問題がありません。それでも、病気になると、日本の先生がいらしたボストンを懐かしく有り難く思い出して、恵まれた環境だったと感じます。yuko先生にありがとうと伝えたいです。
I am so sad to be relocating and leaving this wonderful practice. Dr. Yuko is by far the best PCP I have ever worked with. The fact that she has a scribe means she can actually listen! She takes time with her patients, has a holistic approach. Her staff are friendly, professional and efficient.
