Fantastic^^ – Last week,We had a super deluxe sashimi at Yuki.I was so impressed that fish looks so fresh. It was served on the ice that one of the sushi chef designed. We even see through all kind of shells, parsley.I've never seen that kind of dish before. No wonder sashimi looks so fresh..on the special ice. It's not only looking,it was real fresh.. We feel like we are having a dinner at the seaside^^
Yuki has the best sushi in portland. Period. – Yuki is by far my favorite sushi place in portland, if not the west coast. I moved here from LA and in my visits down to southern california have been hard-pressed to find fish as fresh, large-portioned, and reasonably priced. The nigiri is always buttery and entirely devoid of any hint of being old or rubbery- I especially recomend the albacore, yellowtail, or salmon. The japanese food appetizers-tempura, japanese-garlic-chicken, miso, etc. are always flavorful, perfectly cooke... read more
This "restaurant" = ka ka – This was the worst place I have ever been to. Not the worst sushi place, but the worst restaurant period. Salad was the dominant theme. I had chirashi which usually has rice involved. Not here, I got lettuce. Everyones' plate was covered in lettuce in some attempt to distract away from how little fish there was. Even the desert had salad on the plate. I don't know what kind of fish they serve to everyone else, but my party got tiny, old fish. Absolute crap. Overpriced and slow as well. All in all ... read more
Nice. – I've been coming into Yuki for about 2 years. They have the best sushi in portland. Sometimes I have to wait a bit to get served but it's well worth it. I always get the philly roll, or the fried razor clams. The chicken skewers are quite tasty aswell. =)
excellent! – Ate there as recently as last night and have always been impressed with the food and the service. Was amazed to see some negative reviews, since my small group has never experienced anything was enthusiastic salutations, quick seating and timely arrival of excellent food. Have eaten both combination dinners and sushi and have been pleased with all. Flavors and presentation were excellent and prices were rather high but not out of line compared to other similar restaurants.
yuki – they have awesome sushi, great service, excellent dining.Yuki is a wonderful restaurant thats there for all to enjoy. They have nice service and the people there are so nice. The service that they have is one of the most best and i am suprrised that no one was there when i was visiting. there food is also very great
Best Sushi in town – We love sushi and have eaten and a lot of sushi houses in town. We prefer Yuki for their freshness and expertise in preparation. They are a tad bit more expensive than other places but, in this case, you are getting what you pay for. The service is a bit impersonal if you sit at a table. If you go alone or as a couple, sit at the bar and have a good time with the sushi chef's. The rest of their menu is good too so if you are really hungry, order a full meal and enjoy!
Our current favorite Japanese – We've probably been to Yuki 10 times since they opened. I think they have one of the best menus of any Japanese restaurant in Pdx, and the food quality is outstanding. Some very unique sushi rolls as well (try the Go Blazers with smoked scallops!). The only bad experience we've had was on a Sunday night before a holiday when they clearly were expecting a slow Sunday crowd but were absolutely slammed.
Excellent food, long wait at TIMES – I have been to Yuki four times now, once to pick up a takeout order (the first time) and three times eating at the sushi bar. The first time the wait was horrible, it took them about 20 minutes to prepare a medium sized sushi order of 5 rolls. The sushi, however, was well worth the wait and assured that I would be back, and I have, and have never again had a wait like that one. If you don't want to wait, I suggest getting there just after they open for dinner and sit at the sushi bar. The... read more
