Dr. Hamati has been my doctor for over 20 years, when he first treated me for a broken pelvis. He is brilliant, communicative, caring, informative, pragmatic, to the point and always focused on the best outcome possible. He truly cares about what is best for the patient, and tells it like it is, and tells you what is the reality of the situation. I feel he knows me personally.

I could not have asked for a better doctor (surgeon) for my ACDF surgery. A true answer to my prayers. His entire surgical team is learned, professional and very kind. I have nicknamed them the" A TEAM" (Angel Team)!!!

Hubby been with Dr hemani age of 16 broke his arm in high school basketball and then he had his shoulder 30 yr later of for 28 yr in the military and his shoulder is phenomenals it didn't take him long to return back to the military Doc is going to go in for knee replacement and said said that hubby can still do his running and stay in the military. I had talked to doc about my feet yr ago.now its time he only doc that won't removed all my toe 4 dr saidBec there good Med out for RA .I'm blessed

I had an EMG of my legs perform at OAM by another doctor. Lather that evening, my right leg was swollen from foot to hip. I called OAM after hours. Dr Hamati was on call. After 45 minutes he answered the page. His advice was to elevate and ice the leg and call the office on Monday. No questions about possible blood clot symptoms. Fortunately I found out that Lyrica causes edema of this type and can quit it - but what if this HAD been something immediately serious? He didn't even ask!

Dr. Hamati performed a complicated back surgery on me in March, 2017. He did an amazing job. I am pain free for the most part (still dealing with arthritis) and have been given the all clear by Dr. Hamati to return to all of my former activities. I would refer him to anyone in need of an experienced, kind and attentive surgeon. The only negative I can think of is that there is normally quite a long wait before being called in to the exam room. However, he is well worth the wait.

I love Dr. Hamati like my own grandfather. I've known him for 20 years, and he is the best in the business. He recently did a very complicated total hip replacement on me, and it was a complete success. He's so warm and really gets to know his patients, then cares for them accordingly. I wouldn't trust any other doctor to do complicated orthopedic surgery on me. He's very, very busy, though, so wait times can be long.

Dr. Hamati replaced my knee two years ago and is replacing the second knee in October. I wouldn't consider having any other doctor for the surgery. My friend came from Hastings to have her knee replaced because of my recommendation and was very pleased with her outcome. He is very personable and forthright. He doesn't mince any words and sets expectations but eases any concerns you may have.

He repaired my torn rotator cuff and I have zero limitation and total range of motion. No pain A few years later he did a triple cervical fusion on my neck which involved implanting a plate and 8 screws. Although I have some limitation in mobility, it is minimal. I can turn my head side to side without any difficulty. Also both post-op recoveries were without complications. Muskegon is lucky to have him. I would never even consider going to anyone else.
