My girlfriend and I drove up from Maryland for a few days vacation, and have never been to Maine. Youngs was the first place we ate, based on a close friend's suggestion. HOLY COW. Everything about the place is exceptional.
Great place! Organized chaos! You have to know that you can BYOW and table cloth and have a fancy picnic on their nice terrace overseeing the bay.
Had the Lobster roll, all meat. Excellent. Setting breathtaking. Friendly servers.
Have been there since I was literally a little girl with my sister and parents. My parents have passed away...but the memories of being at Youngs has not faded, just like their quality or service. It's the Youngs lobster pound of old!
Very casual. Bring tools and a cooler. Great harbor view, friendly staff once it calmed down. Don't wear white, it could be messy. Had the Bucket List for 2. Oysters salty and tastey, mussels, spotty, shrimp great, lobster, pretty good. Excellent value.
